Using the Power of Music to Heal and Restore

The devastating 2010 Haitian earthquake, which claimed over 250,000 lives, spurred Haitian-American artist Watson Tunez to action. He founded Beyond Me Entertainment (BME) with Anderson University students, releasing a relief album, "Beyond Me: Haiti," that resonated deeply and inspired the Live Beyond You Service Challenge. Building on their success, which included raising over $25,000 and aiding Haitian rebuilding efforts, they launched their non-profit counterpart, Beyond Me Initiative in 2015, providing grants for local service. Alongside this, Beyond Me Entertainment pioneered humanitarian hip-hop, blending it with R&B and pop, uniting artists and fans for global and local impact. This journey, marked by increased reach and Watson's 2021 solo album "Long Way to Go," has established Beyond Me Entertainment as a powerful force for community-driven change through music.

Beyond Me Entertainment operates a hybrid, impact-driven ecosystem that connects the music industry with grassroots humanitarian aid. At its front end, BME functions as a record label and media company that produces live music experiences (featuring artists like Watson Tunez), branded media, and lifestyle apparel ("Live Beyond You"). Revenue generated from event bookings, corporate CSR partnerships, and merchandise sales flows directly into the Beyond Me Initiative—the organization's non-profit arm. The Initiative then distributes grants to alleviate local suffering and fund community-led initiatives. This creates a self-sustaining loop where entertainment fuels social good, giving corporate partners an authentic way to achieve CSR goals while directly uplifting the local community.

Born into extreme poverty and orphaned in Haiti, Watson Tunez faced unimaginable hardship from a young age. After being rescued and adopted by an American family, he found solace and a voice through music. The devastating 2010 Haitian earthquake became a turning point, inspiring him to channel his artistic talents into action. He founded Beyond Me Entertainment, using the power of music and service to spark a movement rooted in the belief that personal struggles can be transformed into a powerful force for good. By overcoming personal tragedy and finding healing, he continues to use his voice to inspire others to overcome their personal limitations and live selflessly. Watson, along with his team at Beyond Me Entertainment and their non-profit counterpart, Beyond Me Initiative, create positive change in the world through music, media, and community initiatives.
